The first time I met Christian was at a table reading for another indie film project directed by my former co-producing partner, Dawn Jones Redstone. I didn’t get a chance to talk to Christian too much that day, but I remembered her presence as being calm, confident, and focused, working to make sure that everything was organized and set for that table read.

I didn’t meet up with her again until I asked her to direct the first season of Gabby Smashes! After observing her that day of the table read and sorta kinda stalking her and researching he work (insert emoji face here?), I knew she’d be able to bring Gabby Smashes to the next level.

I deeply admire Christian for her patience, grace, sense of humor, and willingness to roll with the punches. Once she agreed to direct and co-produce, I immediately became sick and had to put the project on hold for a few months. During that time period, Christian kept the project – and my spirits – afloat. Finding a creative partner that can stick by you during times of crisis is HARD and for that I am truly indebted to her.

A project like this, made from a labor of love, requires a dedicated team and this one is like no other! I am honored to be working with Christian and can’t wait for you to see what her vision is for the series!
